WE RECEIVE INCOME FROM GIFTS BY MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY. WE ALSO RECEIVE FUNDS FROM THE EARLY HEARING DETECTION AND INTERVENTION ADVISORY COMMITTEE ("EHDI") FOR SERVICES WE PERFORM ON THEIR BEHALF THROUGH OUR PROGRAM GUIDE BY YOUR SIDE. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES SERVICES FAMILIES WITH A CHILD (OR CHILDREN) THAT ARE DEAF AND/OR HARD OF HEARING. THESE SERVICES MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR EHDI TO MEET GOALS SET BY THEIR GRANT PROVIDERS, THE CDC AND HRSA. PART OF THE GRANT FUNDS THAT EHDI RECEIVES ARE PAID TO HANDS & VOICES OF OREGON SO THAT CHILDREN ARE IDENTIFIED AS DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING, DIAGNOSED AND ENROLLED IN EARLY INTERVENTION ALONG A PRESET TIMELINE.
