OPHTHALMOLOGY MATCHING PROGRAM: OMP MATCHES OPHTHALMIC RESIDENCY CANDIDATES TO RESIDENCY TRAINING PROGRAMS IN THE UNITED STATES.
ANNUAL MEETING: THE AUPO ANNUAL MEETING IS HELD EVERY WINTER. THE EDUCATIONAL MEETING ADDRESSES TRENDS AND TOPICS OF WHICH ACADEMIC DEPARTMENTS SHOULD BE AWARE: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN FACULTY DEVELOPMENT; OPHTHALMOLOGY TEACHING AND ASSESSMENT; THE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH TRAINING OF MEDICAL STUDENTS; AND THE ROLE OF OPHTHALMOLOGY DEPARTMENTS IN THEIR TRAINING.
SURGICAL EDUCATION: THE SURGICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM'S GOAL IS TO ENSURE OPHTHALMOLOGY RESIDENCY PROGRAM GRADUATES HAVE A COMMON CORE LEVEL OF SURGICAL SKILL COMPETENCY.
