OTHER PROGRAMS SUPPORT ADMINISTRATORS, SALARY SURVEY, AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES ACTIVITIES.


ANNUAL MEETING: THE AUPO ANNUAL MEETING IS HELD EVERY WINTER. THE EDUCATIONAL MEETING ADDRESSES TRENDS AND TOPICS OF WHICH ACADEMIC DEPARTMENTS SHOULD BE AWARE: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN FACULTY DEVELOPMENT, OPHTHALMOLOGY TEACHING AND ASSESSMENT, THE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH TRAINING OF MEDICAL STUDENTS, AND THE ROLE OF OPHTHALMOLOGY DEPARTMENTS IN THEIR TRAINING.


RESIDENT SURGICAL EDUCATION: THE RESIDENT SURGICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM'S GOAL IS TO ENSURE OPHTHALMOLOGY RESIDENCY PROGRAM GRADUATES HAVE A COMMON CORE LEVEL OF SURGICAL SKILL COMPETENCY.
