WOMEN IN OPHTHALMOLOGY (WIO) CONSISTS OF A SINGLE PROGRAM TO ENHANCE THE PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT, ENCOURAGE DIVERSITY, IMPARTIALLY AND ECONOMIC PARITY, AND TO CULTIVATE NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEADERSHIP, EDUCATION AND PUBLIC SERVICE FOR WOMEN IN THE OPHTHALMOLOGY PROFESSION. WIO CULTIVATES NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEADERSHIP THROUGH ITS SUMMER SYMPOSIUM, AN ANNUAL CURATED MEETING FOR WOMEN OFFERING "THE BEST OF THE BEST" CONTENT IN ALL SUBJECTS OF IMPORTANCE TO WOMEN OPHTHALMOLOGISTS.
