GV MISSION TRIP PROGRAMGLOBAL VENTURES MISSION TRIP PROGRAM TAKES EVERYDAY PEOPLE TO COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD AND INVOLVES THEM IN MISSIONS WORK. DURING A GLOBAL VENTURES TRIP, PEOPLE EXPERIENCE HANDS-ON MINISTRY THROUGH CHILDREN'S OUTREACHES, STREET EVANGELISM, AND EVENING FESTIVALS (CRUSADES). EVERYONE TAKES PART IN SHARING THE GOSPEL WITH PEOPLE IN VARIOUS SETTINGS. EVERY TRIP ALSO PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY TO HELP A COMMUNITY WITH A SERVICE PROJECT SUCH AS GIVING FAMILIES CLEAN WATER FILTERS. THESE TRIPS ARE TYPICALLY 10 DAYS LONG. GV USUALLY TAKES 30 TO 80 TEAM MEMBERS ON EACH TRIP. (THERE IS A PROMINENT PART OF OUR MINISTRY THAT IS INCLUDED IN THIS PROGRAM; MASS CRUSADES. JOHN CONDUCTS MASS CRUSADES WHERE TYPICALLY TENS OF THOUSANDS RECEIVE CHRIST.)IN 2021, GV TOOK A TOTAL OF 201 PEOPLE (SOME GOING ON MULTIPLE TRIPS) TO ECUADOR (1 WEEK OR 2-WEEK TRIP), ALBANIA AND PERU. * ECUADOR, 8,520 SALVATIONS AND 520 HEALINGS* ALBANIA, 1784 SALVATIONS AND 82 HEALINGS* PERU, 5,415 SALVATIONS AND 242 HEALINGSWE DISTRIBUTED: 5,065 FOOD PACKAGES; 500 WATER FILTERS; 13,000 GOSPEL BOOKS* 161,159 TOTAL VIEWS OF THE VIRTUAL FESTIVALS * 54,306 INTERACTIONS FROM THE VIEWING AUDIENCETOTAL IN-PERSON SALVATIONS (INCLUDING STATESIDE MINISTRY) FOR 2021 IS, 15,814 PEOPLE AND WE SAW 844 PEOPLE HEALED. ALSO, 170 PASTORS AND LEADERS WERE TRAINED IN FOLLOW-UP MINISTRY. BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC, WE WERE NOT ABLE TO GATHER CROWDS TOGETHER AND DO AN IN-PERSON CRUSADE IN EACH COUNTRY. INSTEAD, WE HIRED A PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTION TEAM IN EACH COUNTRY AND HELD VIRTUAL CRUSADES AIRING OVER SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS. VIRTUAL FESTIVALS (CRUSADES) WERE HELD IN ALL 3 COUNTRIES WITH A TOTAL OF 161,159 VIEWS AND 54,306 TOTAL INTERACTIONS.
INTERNSHIP PROGRAMCORE (INTERNSHIP PROGRAM) IS A 1 TO 3-YEAR PROGRAM CREATED TO EQUIP THOSE WHO HAVE A HEART TO REACH THE WORLD. THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO TRAIN PEOPLE WITH A BIBLICAL FOUNDATION AS WELL AS THE DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF HOW TO DO MISSIONS / MINISTRY. THERE ARE A FEW CLASSROOM TRAINING CLASSES BUT MOST OF THE TRAINING IS DONE THROUGH HANDS ON MINISTRY WORK. THE GOAL IS TO HAVE EACH PARTICIPANT BECOME THE LEADER THEY ARE DESIGNED TO BE AND BE SELF-SUSTAINED TO DO MISSIONS OR OTHER MINISTRY WORK. THE CORE PROGRAM IS 12 MONTHS LONG AND 3 FULL DAYS A WEEK, TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. IN SEPTEMBER 2021, 3 INTERNS COMPLETED THE 1ST YEAR OF THE PROGRAM AND 2 OF THEM RETURNED FOR THE 2ND YEAR. 3 INTERNS RETURNED FOR YEAR 3. (DUE TO SOME STAFF TRANSITIONS, WE DECIDED TO NOT ACCEPT NEW INTERNS BUT CONTINUED TRAINING THE 2ND AND 3RD YEAR INTERNS. THERE WAS A TOTAL OF 5 INTERNS IN TRAINING.)IN AUGUST OF 2021, 1 INTERN COMPLETED THE CORE 3-YEAR PROGRAM WITH GLOBAL VENTURES AND GRADUATED. ALL INTERNS PARTICIPATE IN GV MISSION TRIPS WITH EXTRA RESPONSIBILITIES AND ROLES WHICH IS A VITAL PART OF THEIR TRAINING.
STATESIDE MINISTRY PROGRAMSTATESIDE MINISTRY PROGRAM CONSISTS OF JOHN MINISTERING IN LOCAL CHURCHES, CONFERENCES AND BIBLES SCHOOLS HERE IN THE U.S. THE REACH PODCAST WITH JOHN SMITHWICK IS ANOTHER AVENUE THAT JOHN MINISTERS TO THOSE LIVING HERE IN THE U.S. JOHN SHARES ABOUT RELEVANT TOPICS FROM THE BIBLE AND INVITES SPECIAL MINISTRY GUESTS TO SHARE AND DIALOG WITH JOHN AS WELL. THE GLOBAL VENTURES REALITY TV SHOW THAT WAS PRODUCED, AIRS ON ALL THE MAJOR CHRISTIAN NETWORKS FOR FREE. GLOBAL VENTURES HAS 30 EPISODES THAT GIVE PEOPLE A VIEW OF WHAT IT'S LIKE TO DO MISSIONS AND SEE THE REAL ENCOUNTERS OF SHARING GOD'S POWER WITH THOSE IN NEED. THIS IS ANOTHER WAY THAT GV INSPIRES AND MOTIVATES CHRISTIANS HERE IN THE U.S. TO LIVE THEIR LIFE WITH PURPOSE.
