THE ARKANSAS RICE COUNCIL PROMOTES THE USE AND SALE OF RICE AND RICE PRODUCTS. RICE PRODUCTION AND PROCESSING PLAY IMPORTANT ROLES IN THE STATE OF ARKANSAS. ARKANSAS GROWS RICE ON APPROXIMATELY 1.3 MILLION ACRES EACH YEAR. RICE IS THE STATE'S SECOND HIGHEST COMMODITY AND THE TOP AGRICULTRUAL EXPORT. ARKANSAS RICE FARMERS AND MILLERS CONTRIUBTE TO MORE THAN 6 BILLION TO THE STATE'S ECONOMY ANNUALLY AND ACCOUNT FOR OVER 25,000 JOBS THAT ARE CRUCIAL TO THE RURAL COMMUNITIES OF ARKANSAS.
