THE LIFE BALANCE INSTITUTE IS A TRAINING ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO HELPING INDIVIDUALS FIND MORE BALANCE, FREEDOM, AND MEANING IN THEIR LIVES. TRAINING IS PROVIDED THROUGH TWO PROGRAMS. THE SEMINAR PROGRAM OFFERS CLASSES, RETREATS AND WORKSHOPS FOR GROUPS AND THE PRIVATE PROGRAM PROVIDES INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING. THE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM EQUIPS INDIVIDUALS WITH THE SKILLS NEEDED TO OFFER COUNSELING TO HELP OTHERS IN LIFE BALANCE CONCEPTS.

THE INSTITUTE'S PRIMARY FUNCTION IS TO PROVIDE TRAINING DEDICATED TO HELPING INDIVIDUALS AND EXECUTIVES THROUGH GROUP MEETINGS EITHER SPONSORED SOLELY BY THE INSTITUTE OR OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. FOR THE TAX YEAR, 87 DAYS OF TRAINING (IN-PERSON AND ON-LINE) WERE HELD WITH A TOTAL ESTIMATED 1,484 SEPARATE CLASS ATTENDANCES. THESE MEETINGS IN THE FORM OF CLASSES RANGED FROM 4 PERSONS TO OVER 194 IN SIZE. THEY WERE HELD IN THE SAN FRANCISCO AREA, SEATTLE, THROUGHOUT CALIFORNIA AND OTHER LOCATIONS. THE ONE AND MULTIPLE DAY CLASSES, RETREATS AND WORKSHOPS ARE CENTERED ON TEACHING PEOPLE ABOUT SKILLFUL LIVING, MANAGING LIFE CHANGES AND TRANSITIONS AND SUSTAINABLE LEADERSHIP. THESE TEACHINGS INCLUDE MEDIATION, YOGA, MINDFULNESS, STRESS RELIEF AND RELATED SKILLS AND ACTIVITIES. TOTAL REVENUE CONSISTS OF DIRECT CONTRIBUTIONS TO LBI AND CONTRIBUTIONS WHERE APPLICABLE FROM THE SPONSORING NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION. MANY OF THE SPONSORING ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDE FOR THE TRAVEL EXPENSES OF THE LBI SPEAKER. THE TOTAL REVENUE FOR THE YEAR WAS $106,170 AND GENERALLY ALL PROGRAM SERVICE EXPENSES OF $343,006 ARE ALLOCABLE. NO ALLOCATION HAS BEEN MADE OF THE MANAGEMENT AND GENERAL CATEGORIES AS ATTRIBUTABLE TO THIS FUNCTION HOWEVER IT IS THE PRIMARY ACTIVITY OF THE INSTITUTE.
COUNSELING ACTIVITIES ARE GENERALLY CONDUCTED WITH INDIVIDUAL PERSONS WHO NEED HELP WITH VARIOUS LIFE ISSUES INCLUDING MAJOR CAREER OR POSITION CHANGES, FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS, STRESS ISSUES, AND ACHIEVING A MORE BALANCED LIFE BETWEEN WORK AND FAMILY. DURING THE TAX YEAR AN ESTIMATED 18 PERSONS ATTENDED COUNSELING SESSIONS AND CONTRIBUTED $154,856 FOR THE PERIOD. NO PROGRAM EXPENSES HAVE BEEN ALLOCATED TO THIS ACTIVITY.
LIFE BALANCE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM IS A CERTIFICATION PROGRAM THAT EQUIPS INDIVIDUALS WITH THE SKILLS NEEDED TO OFFER COUNSELING TO PERSONS WHO NEED HELP WITH VARIOUS LIFE CHANGES AND TRANSITIONS.
