STABLE HANDS OPERATED THREE SEASONAL SESSIONS ON A WEEKLY BASIS. PARTICIPANTS ARE AGES 4 ADULT, WITH A WIDE RANGE OF DISABILITIES INCLUDING AUTISM, CEREBRAL PALSY, DOWN SYNDROME, INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY, TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY, POST TRAUMATIC STRESS AND SEIZURE DISORDERS. THE SESSIONS WERE HELD AT AN OUTDOOR FACILITY ON PRIVATE PROPERTY, THE USE OF WHICH WAS DONATED BY A WILLING AND SUPPORTIVE OWNER. THROUGH ADAPTIVE HORSEMANSHIP, OUR CLIENTS INCREASED CORE STRENGTH, BALANCE, ENDURANCE, SELF ESTEEM, AND INDEPENDENCE. STABLE HAND'S HORSES HELPING HEROES PROGRAM SERVES VETERANS WHO HAVE SUSTAINED A PHYSICAL, MENTAL OR EMOTIONAL INJURY, ILLNESS OR WOUND. VETERAN VOLUNTEERS ASSIST THE INSTRUCTORS. IN ADDITION TO WEEKLY SESSIONS, THE VETERANS PARTICIPATED IN THE YREKA HOLIDAY PARADE. THE DEDICATION OF THE STABLE HANDS STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS WAS REWARDED BY REMARKABLE PROGRESS PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY, AND SOCIALLY IN PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS. STABLE HANDS REMAINS PASSIONATE ABOUT PROVIDING OUR SERVICES TO PEOPLE LIVING WITH DISABILITIES AND IS COMMITTED TO MAINTAINING OUR SERVICES IN THIS COMMUNITY.
