THE MISSION OF THE RIPON VOLUNTEER FIREMAN'S ASSOCIATION (RVFA) IS TO PROVIDE MANPOWER TO THE RIPON CONSOLIDATED FIRE DISTRICT IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS. ALL VOLUNTEERS RECEIVE ON-GOING TRAINING AND ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND MONTHLY MEETINGS AND DRILLS.

RVFA MEMORIAL FUND ACCOUNT: WHEN SOMEONE FROM THE COMMUNITY DIES, THEIR LOVES ONES SOMETIMES DESIGNATE THIS FUND FOR DONATIONS IN LIEU OF FLOWERS. THE PROCEEDS GO TOWARD PURCHASING EXTRA EMERGGENCY EQUIPMENT SUCH AS: JAWS OF LIFE TOOLS, GURNEYS FOR THE AMBULANCE.
RFVA FUNDRAISING ACCOUNT: THE RIPON VOLUNTEER FIREMAN'S ASSOCIATION SPONSORS AN ANNUAL PANCAKE BREAKFAST AND THE PROCEEDS ARE USED TO PURCHASE EXTRA EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT SUCH AS: AUTO EXTRICATION TOOLS, HEART DEFIBRILLATORS, HEAT SEEKING DEVICES, WHEEL CHAIRS, AND PROTECTIVE TURNOUT GEAR. DUE TO COVID, THE FUNDRAISER WAS CANCELED THIS YEAR.
RIPON VOLUNTEER FIREMAN'S ASSOCIATION ACCOUNT: ALL VOLUNTEERS MEET MONTHLY FOR MEETINGS AND TRAINING DRILLS. THEY HAVE DINNERS CERTAIN MONTHS BEFORE THE MEETING. THEY ALSO PROVIDE FIRE PREVENTION EDUCATION TO ALL ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN THE CITY AND ASSIST WITH THE SMOKE DETECTOR BATTERY PROGRAM FOR THE ELDERLY.
