USING PUBLIC AND EDUCATIONAL ACCESS TV, LOW-POWER RADIO, AND PARTNERSHIPS COUNTYWIDE, DAVIS MEDIA ACCESS (DMA) WORKS TO CONNECT AND INFORM OUR REGION, INCREASING AWARENESS AND CIVIC PARTICIPATION.

THROUGH PUBLIC AND GOVERNMENT ACCESS CHANNELS ON THE COMCAST SYSTEM IN DAVIS; COMMUNITY RADIO STATION KDRT, AND ROBUST SOCIAL MEDIA OUTLETS, DMA AIRS AND ARCHIVES PUBLIC MEETINGS, PROVIDING TRANSPARENCY. WE PRODUCE LOCAL ELECTION COVERAGE, COVERING RACES FROM SCHOOL BOARD THROUGH CONGRESS, AS WELL AS LOCAL BALLOT MEASURES. WE WORK WITH SCHOOLS, MUNICIPALITIES, BUSINESSES, MUSICIANS, VENUES, YOUTH AND NON-PROFITS. WE HAVE A PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON YOUTH, OFFERING SUMMER CAMPS, BROADCAST TRAINING, AND INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES. WE HELP OTHER NON-PROFITS BUILD CAPACITY BY HELPING THEM GET THE WORD OUT, HIGHLIGHTING THEIR EVENTS, AND BY PROVIDING LOW-COST ACCESS TO MEDIA SERVICES. WE DOCUMENT COMMUNITY EVENTS AND SOCIAL MOVEMENTS, ENSURING THAT A WIDE VARIETY OF VOICES AND PERSPECTIVES ARE HEARD. PROGRAM EXPENSES COVER OPERATIONAL EXPENSES FOR BOTH TV CHANNELS, THE RADIO STATION, AND VARIOUS STREAMING SERVICES AND LICENSES.
