TO PROMOTE, ENCOURAGE AND DEVELOPE STUDENTS INTEREST, PARTICIPATION AND TALENTS IN MUSIC IN THE PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL. SPECIFICALLY, BELLA VISTA HIGH SCHOOL, SAN JUAN SCHOOL DISTRICT, FAIR OAKS, CA. THE BAND COMPETES IN MUSICAL AND DRILL COMPETITIONS AND PERFORMS AT SCHOOT AND COMMUNITY EVENTS. THE BAND ALSO PREFORMES AT LOCATIONS THAT ARE OUTSIDE ITS

Part 3 - Line 4a

BELLA VISTA BAND IS CURRENTLY THE ONLY COMPETITIVE MARCHING BAND IN THE SAN JUAN SCHOOL DISTRICT. THE BAND AND ITS COMPONENTS; JAZZ BAND, DRILL TEAM AND WINTER DRUM TRAVEL TO COMPETITIONS AND PERFORMANCES. THESE TRIPS INCLUDE A MAJOR TRIP TAKEN DURING THE SPRING BREAK ON WHICH THE BAND MEMBERS PERFORMED. IN SUPPORTING THESE ENDEAVORS THR BELLA VISTA BAND BOOSTERS HAVE ENCOURAGED THE STUDENTS IN THEIR MUSICAL AND PERFOMANCE PURSUITS.


THE BAND IS A COMPETITIVE BAND WHO PERFORMS AT VARIOUS SCHOOL COMPETITIONS. THE EXPENSES FOR THESE ACTIVITIES INCLUDED CONTRACTED SERVICES FOR DRILL AND MARCHING INSTRUCTORS, CHOREOGRAPHERS, AND DESIGNERS WHO ARE NOT PART OF THE BELLA VISTA BAND BOOSTERS GOVERNING BOARD. UNIFORMS, FOR THEME PROPS, MUSIC AND DECORATIONS SPENT TO CARRY OUT PROGRAM THEMES OF THE BAND'S COMPETITION PERFORMANCES. THIS AMOUNT ALSO INCLUDES ENTRY FEES AND OTHER ASSOCIATED COSTS.


THE BELLA VISTA BAND BOOSTER PAYS FOR VARIOUS MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, EQUIPMENT AND THEIR REPAIR. SOME OF THE INSTRUMENTS USED BY THE BAND ARE NOT PRACTICAL TO DEPEND UPON THE INDIVIDUAL STUDENT TO PROVIDE. EXAMPLES WOULD BE THE B FLAT BASS (SOUZAPHONE)(TUBA) WHICH ARE LARGE AND EXPENSIVE.
