SINCE THE DECEMBER 2007 LAUNCH OF NOR'WESTER THERAPY DOG'S PILOT PROGRAM IN THE COUNCIL ROCK SCHOOL DISTRICT, BUCKS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, THE ORGANIZATION NOW PROVIDES THERAPY DOG TEAMS TO FOUR SCHOOL DISTRICTS (CENTENNIAL, COUNCIL ROCK, NESHAMINY, AND PENNSBURY), ONE PRIVATE SCHOOL (THE CENTER SCHOOL), AND TWO PUBLIC LIBRARIES (THE FREE LIBRARY OF NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, RICHBORO PENNSYLVANIA AND AMBLER BRANCH OF THE WISSAHICKON VALLEY FREE LIBRARY IN AMBLER, PENNSYLVANIA). THE ORGANIZATION ALSO COLLABORATES WITH BCCC (NEWTOWN CAMPUS) AND OFFERS THEIR COMFORT DOGS ON CAMPUS PROGRAM. NOW COMPLETING ITS SEVENTEENTH YEAR OF PROVIDING THERAPY DOG SERVICES TO APPROXIMATELY 25 PARTICIPATING TEACHERS/CLASSROOMS, THE NOR'WESTER ORGANIZATION CURRENTLY HAS 32 ACTIVE THERAPY DOG TEAMS SERVING IN SCHOOL CLASSROOMS, AT BCCC, AND IN TWO PUBLIC LIBRARIES.
