THE MISSION OF CALOOSA HUMANE SOCIETY IS TO SERVE, SHELTER, AND PROTECT THE HOMELESS PETS IN OUR CARE. WE ARE DEDICATED TO FINDING PERMANENT AND LOVING ADOPTIVE HOMES FOR OUR COMPANION ANIMALS IN NEED. OUR NO-KILL FACILITY PROVIDES LOW COST SPAY/NEUTER SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY WITH THE GOAL OF REDUCING THE EXTREME OVERPOPULATION OF UNWANTED PETS.

THROUGHOUT 2021 CALOOSA HUMANE SOCIETY TOOK IN OVER 164 HOMELESS ANIMALS. OVER 142 OF THOSE ANIMALS FOUND THEIR FOREVER HOMES. CALOOSA HUMANE SOCIETY ALSO PROVIDED SAFE, LOW-COST SPAY/NEUTER TO SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES AND ALSO MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TO KEEP PETS IN THEIR HOMES BY PROVIDING FREE VETERINARY SERVICES TO MEMBERS WHO WOULD HAVE OTHERWISE SURRENDERED THEIR PETS DUE TO UNEXPECTED MEDICAL EXPENSES THEY COULD NOT AFFORD.
