SFITV HOLDS A LICENSE FOR THREE EDUCATIONAL BROADBAND SERVICE (EBS) CHANNELS FROM THE FCC TO PROVIDE WIRELESS BROADBAND ACCESS AND DEVICES TO STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF IN THE METROPOLITAN AREA OF MIAMI, FLORIDA. THIS SERVICE ALLOWS STUDENT USERS TO PURSUE THEIR STUDIES, TEACHERS TO PREPARE FOR THEIR CLASSES, AND ADMINISTRATORS TO CONDUCT THEIR WORK AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AT SCHOOL, OTHER REMOTE EDUCATIONAL LOCATIONS, AND HOME. THE PORTABILITY OF THE WIRELESS SERVICES AND DEVICES ALLOW USERS INTERNET ACCESS ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. THE SERVICE IS ALSO MADE AVALABLE TO STUDENTS AND ADULTS WHO OTHERWISE COULD NOT AFFORD ACCESS TO THE INTERNET.
