OVER 2000 SERVICED IN 2015. 31 COMPUTER CLASSES. EMPLOYER PARTNERSHIPS WITH APPROXIMATELY 150 COMPANIES.

ACTS CAREER CENTER PROVIDES CAREER READINESS TRAINING, MICROSOFT OFFICE SUITE CLASSROM COMPUTER TRAINING,RESUME WRITING ASSISTANCE TO 175 ATTENDEES. THREE CAREER READINESS SESSIONS WERE HOSTED AND HR FACILITATORS WERE INVITED TO SPEAK. TWO LARGE SCALE JOB FAIRS WERE JOINTLY HOSTED WITH THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT SERVICES, MAR,AND OMEGA PS PHI. A NIKE HIRING EVENT WAS HELD. ACTS HAS EMPLOYER PARTNERSHIPS WITH APPROXIMATELY 115 COMPANIES.THE CAREER CENTER IS LOCATED IN 1900 SQUARE FEET OF OFFICE SPACE DONATION BY BROWN MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH. THE VALUE OF THE OFFICE SPACE DONATION IS NOT INCLUDED IN INCOME OR EXPENSES PER THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FORM 990-EZ.
HELPING HANDS MINISTRY CONNECTS THE NEEDS OF INDIVIDUALS IN THE COMMUNITY WITH LABOR RESOURCES THROUGH THE CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM. CAREGIVING,HOUSEHOLD CHORES AND LANDSCAPE SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH THIS PROGRAM.
BROWN YOUTH INITIATIVE IS AIMED AT EQUIPING,ENCOURAGING,AND CONNECTING YOUTH WITH EMPLOYMENT SKILLS, FAITHFUL LEADERSHIP ROLE MODELS AND POSITIVE INFLUENCES.
