DURING THE NOTED PERIOD, MISSISSIPPI HOUSING PARTNERSHIP (MHP) ADVANCED ITS AFFORDABLE HOUSING MISSION BY UTILIZING GRANT FUNDS TO PROVIDE RENTAL AND/OR UTILITY ASSISTANCE FOR ROUGHLY 70 LOW- INCOME HOUSEHOULDS. THESE FUNDS ALSO ALLOWED US TO COVER HOTEL OR TEMPORARY HOUSING COSTS FOR AT LEAST 30 HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS, INCLUDING ADULTS WITH CHILDREN. MHP PROVIDED RENTAL HOUSING FOR 15 VERY LOW-INCOME FAMILIES. AS A HUD- CERTIFIED COUNCELING AGENCY, MHP CONTINUED TO CONDUCT PRE-PURCHASE AND RENTAL HOUSING COUNSELING, WHERE MORE THAN 65 PERSONS PARTICIPATED IN GROUP EDUCATION SESSIONS. FORECLOSURE MITIGATION COUNSELING WAS ALSO PROVIDED FOR CLOSE TO 80 HOMEOWNERS
