FLOWER GROWERS OF MISSISSIPPI HAS CREATED A WIDE AND DIVERSE COMMUNITY OF FLOWER GROWERS THROUGHOUT MISSISSIPPI AND THE SOUTHERN REGION. WE ARE STRIVING TO INCREASE FARM PRODUCTS, SUPPORT WORK FORCE TRAINING, AND ADVANCE THE CUT FLOWER INDUSTRY BY OFFERING TRAINING FOR A VIABLE MISSISSIPPI PRODUCT.
BLOOMTOWN MS IS A PROGRAM IN WHICH WE DONATE FLOWERS AND PLANTS TO OVER 169 CITIES FOR BEAUTIFICATION.
ARBORETA TRAIL OF MISSISSIPPI HELPS COMMUNITIES CREATE NATIVE ARBORETUMS ON A COMMUNITY LEVEL. THESE SITES INCREASE THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND OUTDOORS ENJOYMENT FOR CITIZENS OF THESE COMMUNITIES. ALSO, EACH ARBORETA IS PLACED ON A TRAIL SYSTEM HIGHLIGHTING THESE SITES THROUGHOUT THE STATE.
MISSISSIPPI POLLINATORS FOR FOOD SECURITY IS A PROGRAM TO PROMOTE THE USE OF NATIVE PLANTS, TREES AND FLOWER TO SUPPORT THE LIFE CYCLE OF BENEFICIAL INSECTS. BENEFICIAL INSECTS ARE CRITICAL TO FOOD PRODUCTION IN AMERICA AND NEEDED ON EVERY FARM. THIS PROJECT CREATES LOCAL DEMONSTRATION GARDENS AND EDUCATION.
