DIAPER BANK - AN ONGOING ANNUAL PROJECT INITIATED IN 2019 TO KEEP THE INFANTS AND CHILDREN OF LOW-INCOME FAMILIES IN MOBILE AND BALDWIN COUNTIES CLEAN, DRY AND HEALTHY. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2022, APPROXIMATELY 23,000 DIAPERS WERE DISTRIBUTED THROUGH THIS COMMUNITY PROGRAM.
ADOPT A SCHOOL PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM ADDRESSES THE HUNGER AND NUTRITIONAL PROBLEMS WHICH OCCUR WITH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN DURING THE WEEKENDS AND LONG HOLIDAYS. THIS THREE YEAR COMMITMENT TO A LOCAL PUBLIC SCHOOL ALSO PROVIDES CLOTHING ITEMS SUCH AS SOCKS, UNDERWEAR AND BELTS TO SUPPLEMENT THE SCHOOL'S UNIFORM AND PROVIDES ASSISTANCE IN THE MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP OF THE SCHOOL'S PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT.
FOCUS AREAS - OUR CURRENT FIVE YEAR FOCUSES ARE HEALTHY CHILDREN, WHICH IS SUBDIVIDED INTO THE FOLLOWING THREE CATEGORIES: HUNGER, NUTRITION AND FITNESS. THESE FOCUS AREAS PROVIDE VOLUNTEERS AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS WHICH EDUCATE CHILDREN ABOUT PROPER NOURISHMENT AND MAINTAINING APPROPRIATE LEVELS OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN HEALTHY LIVES. COLLECTIVELY WE ANNUALLY INVEST OVER 150,000 AND MOR THAN 20,000 VOLUNTEER HOURS INTO THESE AND OTHE COMMUNITY BASED PROGRAMS WHICH IMPACT THE LIVES OF OVER 18,000 MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN.
