THE MISSION OF HELPING HANDS OF PUTNAM COUNTY IS TO ADMINISTER RECEIVED FOODS AND MONETARY DONATIONS TO ASSIST FAMILIES IN PUTNAM COUNTY WITH FOOD, UTILITIES, MEDICAL EXPENSES AND RENT. HELPING HANDS ALSO ADMINISTERS PROJECT HELP FUNDS FROM THE CITY OF COOKEVILLE AND UPPER CUMBERLAND ELECTRIC MEMBERSHIP CORPORATION WITH NO COST TO DONORS OR RECIPIENTS IN THE COUNTY.

HELPING HANDS IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT HELPS BOTH PUTNAM COUNTY RESIDENTS AND TRANSIENTS, WHO ARE IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS AND IN NEED OF FOOD, RENT, TRANSPORTATION, UTILITY PAYMENTS, MEDICATION, EYE EXAMINATIONS AND EYEGLASSES. THIS ASSISTANCE IS INTENDED FOR THOSE WHO ARE OTHERWISE UNABLE TO AFFORD THESE MUCH NEEDED SERVICES.
