THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH BOTH LEGISLATIVE & REGULATORY MONITORING, COMMUNICATIONS WITH MEMBERS & PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAMS ABOUT FARMING & RURAL LIFE & PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT THE AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY. VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN SPONSORSHIP OF MEET THE CANDIDATE ACTIVITIES & YEARLY POLICY MEETINGS WITH THEIR LEGISLATORS TO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT AG POLICY & HOW THE INDUSTRY IS IMPACTED BY LAWMAKERS.

A HIGHLY DEVELOPED COMMITTEE STRUCTURE PROVIDES LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS THROUGH MEETINGS, REGULAR COMMUNICATIONS AND AGRICULTURE ACTIVITIES.
YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARENESS THE HENRY COUNTY FARM BUREAU SPONSORS AND ORGANIZED A YOUTH FARM FESTIVAL YEARLY WHERE SOME 400 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN GO AROUND TO DIFFERENT AGRICULTURAL BOOTHS AND SEE HOW THEIR FOOD AND FIBER IS GROWN, TAKEN CARE OF, AND HARVESTED. THIS IS AN EYEOPENING EXPERIENCE FOR THESE CHILDREN WHO ARE SEVERAL GENERATIONS REMOVED FROM THE FARM. THIS FESTIVAL LETS THEM KNOW HOW IMPORTANT AGRICULTURE IS TO SUSTAINING LIFE AS WE KNOW IT.
