MEMBER SERVICES AND FARMSSHARE: FARMS SERVING HOSPITALITY AND RESTAURANT EMPLOYEES PILOT PROGRAM TO ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF LAID-OFF SERVICE WORKERS DURING THE PANDEMIC CRISIS. SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES INCLUDED DEVELOPING A NETWORK OF FARMS, FARMER COOPERATIVES, AND REGIONAL FOOD HUBS TO AGGREGATE IN-SEASON LOCALLY PRODUCED FOODS AND DISTRIBUTE WEEKLY FREE FOOD BOXES TO FAMILIES IN NEED WHILE ENSURING FAIR PAYMENT TO NETWORK PARTICIPANTS. OTHER MEMBER SERVICES INCLUDE ACCESS TO CONSULTATION, EDUCATIONAL EVENTS, AND INFORMATION ON LOCAL AND ORGANIC AGRICULTURE.
