THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH BOTH LEGISLATIVE & REGULATORY MONITORING, COMMUNICATIONS WITH MEMBERS, PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAMS ABOUT FARMING & RURAL LIFE, & PROVIDING INFORMATION ABOUT THE AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY. VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN THE SPONSORSHIP OF MEET THE CANDIDATE ACTIVITIES & YEARLY POLICY MEETINGS WITH THEIR LEGISLATORS TO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT AG POLICY & HOW THE INDUSTRY IS IMPACTED BY LAWMAKERS.

A HIGHLY DEVELOPED COMMITTEE STRUCTURE PROVIDES LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS THROUGH MEETINGS, REGULAR COMMUNICATIONS, AND AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITIES.
YOUTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT MCMINN COUNTY FARM BUREAU SUPPORTS YOUTH AG ORGANZIATIONS BOTH FINANCIALLY AND WITH VOLUNTEER HOURS. THE MCMINN COUNTY FARM BUREAU IS A PRIMARY SPONSOR OF THE 4-H AND FFA MEMBER APPRECIATION DAY BY PROVIDING A DONATION AND VOLUNTEER HOURS. THE MCMINN COUNTY FARM BUREAU ALSO SPONSORS A FARM DAY AT A LOCAL FARM WHERE 4TH GRADE STUDENTS COME AND SEE WHAT GOES ON EVERYDAY ON A FARM AND HOW IMPORTANT AGRICULTURE IS TO EVERYDAY LIFE.
