PUBLIC POLICY PROGRAMS IN ORDER TO PROTECT & PROMOTE THE AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY THE COFFEE CO FARM BUREAU THROUGH ITS STRUCTURE OF VOLUNTEER LEADERS SUPPORTS PUBLIC POLICY EFFORTS AT THE LOCAL, STATE & NATIONAL LEVEL. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH BOTH LEGISLATIVE & REGULATORY MONITORING COMMUNICATIONS WITH MEMBERS & PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAMS ABOUT FARMING & RURAL LIFE & PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT THE AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY. VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN THE SPONSORSHIP OF MEET THE CANDIDATE ACTIVITIES & YEARLY POLICY MEETINGS WITH THEIR LEGISLATORS TO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT AG POLICY & HOW THE INDUSTRY IS IMPACTED BY LAWMAKERS.

A HIGHLY DEVELOPED COMMITTEE STRUCTURE PROVIDES LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS THROUGH MEETINGS, REGULAR COMMUNICATIONS, AND AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITIES.


YOUTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT THE COFFEE COUNTY FARM BUREAU HELPS YOUTH AGRICULTURE ORGANIZATIONS IN A NUMBER OF WAYS FINANCIALLY AND WITH VOLUNTEER HOURS. THE COFFEE COUNTY FARM BUREAU SPONSORS THE 4-H BANQUET AND DONATES TO THE FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA. THE COFFEE COUNTY FARM BUREAU WOMEN HELP WITH POSTER AND ESSAY CONTESTS ABOUT AGRICULTURE IN THE LOCAL SCHOOLS AND THE COFFEE COUNTY FARM BUREAU PUTS ON A FARM DAY WHERE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN GET TO TOUR AND VISIT A FARM AND SEE HOW LIVESTOCK ARE TAKEN CARE OF AND WHERE THEIR FOOD AND FIBER COMES FROM THIS IS AN EYE OPENING EXPERIENCE AND LETS THE CHILDREN KNOW HOW IMPORTANT AGRICULTURE IS TO LIFE.
