THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH BOTH LEGISLATIVE & REGULATORY MONITORING, COMMUNICATIONS WITH MEMBERS & PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAMS ABOUT FARMING & RURAL LIFE & PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT THE AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY. VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN SPONSORSHIP OF MEET THE CANDIDATE ACTIVITIES & YEARLY POLICY MEETINGS WITH THEIR LEGISLATORS TO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT AG POLICY & HOW THE INDUSTRY IS IMPACTED BY LAWMAKERS.

YOUTH AGRICULTURAL INITIATIVE THE OBION COUNTY FARM BUREAU PROVIDES A SCHOLARSHIP TO A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ENROLLING IN COLLEGE WHO IS PLANNING ON MAJORING IN AGRICULTURE YEARLY. OBION COUNTY FARM BUREAU ALSO SPONSORS 4-H ACTIVITIES THRU EXTENSION SERVICES IN THE COUNTY THAT REACH OUT TO YOUTH.
