AZAEYC PROMOTES HIGH-QUALITY EARLY LEARNING FOR ALL CHILDREN, BIRTH THROUGH AGE 8, BY CONNECTING PRACTICE, POLICY, AND RESEARCH. WE ADVANCE A DIVERSE,YNAMIC, EARLY CHILDHOOD PROFESSION AND SUPPORT ALL WHO CARE FOR, EDUCATE, AND WORK ON BEHALF OF YOUNG CHILDREN.

THE AZTOOLKIT IS A WEB-BASED SHARED SERVICES PLATFORM FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD PROFESSIONALS. AZAEYC MAINTAINS THE AZTOOLKIT AND CUSTOMIZES IT FOR ARIZONA. ARIZONA'S DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC SECURITY PROVIDED A GRANT TO COVER THE SUBSCRIPTION COSTS OF EVERY DES CONTRACTED OR DHS LICENSED CENTER IN ARIZONA.


ADVOCACY WORK HAS THREE PRIMARY GOALS: TO MAXIMIZE CHILD CARE AND DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT UTILIZATION BY INFLUENCING ARIZONA TO USE NEW RESOURCES TO EXPAND ACCESS TO QUALITY PROGRAMS; EQUITABLY EXPAND ACCESS TO HIGH-QUALITY CHILD CARE; AND TO DRIVE INCREASED STATE INVESTMENTS IN THE CHILDREN OF ARIZONA.


ARIZONA HIGHER EDUCATION ACCREDITATION GRANT - AZAEYC PROVIDES RESOURCES TO PARTNER WITH INSTITUTES OF HIGHER EDUCATION TO FACILITATE THEIR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION DEPARTMENTS BEING ACCREDITED BY THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN. RESOURCES INCLUDE PROVIDING TECHNICAL SUPPORT, A LIAISON WITH NAEYC, AND FUNDING FOR SITE VISITS AND FEES. THIS GRANT IS ONGOING INTO 2021.
