TO SAVE AND PROTECT HOMELESS ANIMALS THROUGH RESPONSIBLE ADOPTIONS, TO PROVIDE HUMANE CARE FOR ALL ANIMALS ENTRUSTED TO US, ADVOCATE FOR ANIMAL WELFARE AND ENHANCE THE HUMAN-ANIMAL BOND BY PROMOTING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN PETS AND PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY.

PAWS OPERATES AN OPEN ADMISSION ANIMAL SHELTER IN PARIS, KENTUCKY AND ALSO IN NICHOLAS COUNTY, KENTUCKY. IN 2021, THE ORGANIZATION CARED FOR NEARLY 2,000 HOMELESS ANIMALS AND FOUND HOMES FOR MOST OF THE ANIMALS WE TOOK IN, ACHIEVING A SAVE RATE OF 97% AT THE BOURBON COUNTY SHELTER. THERE WERE NEARLY 300 ANIMALS TAKEN IN AT NICHOLAS COUNTY SHELTER WITH A SAVE RATE OF 96%. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS INCLUDING LOW-COST SPAY NEUTER SERVICES AND VACCINATION CLINICS TO THE COMMUNITY. IN 2021, OVER 2,100 SURGICAL PROCEDURES FOR BOTH SHELTER AND COMMUNITY OWNED PETS WERE PERFORMED BY THE ORGANIZATION.
