SPRING GARDEN FESTIVAL - THE GAINESVILLE GARDEN CLUB ASSISTS THE KANAPAHA BOTANICAL GARDENS WITH THE SPRING GARDEN FESTIVAL. THE CLUB HAS VOLUNTEERED MORE THAN 500 HOURS, ALL YEAR ROUND. AN ESTIMATED 20 TO 25 THOUSAND PEOPLE ATTEND THIS FESTIVAL HELD EACH YEAR IN MARCH AND THE CLUB'S VOLUNTEERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL VENDORS WHO PARTICIPATE IN THE FESTIVAL. THE CLUB'S MAIN PROJECT IS THE CHILDREN'S AREA. THE CLUB ALLOWS CHILDREN TO PARTICIPATE IN FLOWER ARRANGING AND POTTING.
