THE FOUNDATION FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING, INC. FOCUSES ON THE WELFARE OF INDIVIDUALS EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES WHO ARE CAPABLE OF LIVING INDEPENDENTLY WITH PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANCE AND GUIDANCE. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR INDIVIDUALS TO LIVE APART FROM THEIR FAMILIES WHILE ENCOURAGING THEM TO OBTAIN THEIR HIGHEST LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE. THESE OPPORTUNITIES ARE PROVIDED BY PROGRAMMATICALLY OFFERING A COMMUNITY BASED ENVIRONMENT DESIGNED TO ENCHANCE OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH AND MAXIMIZING INDIVIDUALS' STRENGTHS. THE FOUNDATION FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT OFFERS OUR RESIDENTS A FOUNDATION UPON WHICH TO BUILD THEIR INDEPENDENCE. THE FOUNDATION IS THE STAFF, COMMUNITY AND THE SERVICES WE PROVIDE. FIL FOSTERS A RESIDENT CENTERED ENVIRONMENT TO DEVELOP EACH INDIVIDUALS' GREATEST INDEPENDENCE, CONTINUALLY STRIVING TOWARDS A FULL AND BALANCED LIFE. WE ARE POWERED BY 25 EMPLOYEES SERVING AND SUPPORTING 59 RESIDENTS. THERE ARE DIFFERENT COMPONENTS THAT MAKES OUR PROGRAM SUCCESSFUL: RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT SERVICES, ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMING, EMPLOYMENT SERVICES AND HEALTH & WELLNESS. EMPLOYMENT SERVICES - ASSISTS RESIDENTS DEVELOP AND ENHANCE THEIR VOCATIONAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES THAT CAN LEAD TO SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT AND INTEGRATION INTO THE WORKFORCE THROUGH COACHING AND SUPPORTIVE RESOURCES. RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL - EMPOWERS THE RESIDENTS TO LEAD A QUALITY AND INDEPENDENT LIFE BY ASSISTING AND SUPPORTING THEIR GENERAL WELL-BEING AND DAILY LIFE SKILLS.
