PROVIDE CARE TO THE TERMINALLY ILL AND THEIR FAMILIES INCLUDING NURSING, THERAPY, BEREAVEMENT, SOCIAL SERVICES AS WELL AS A CHAPLAIN. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OPERATES A TWELVE BED INPATIENT HOSPICE HOUSE.
DURING THE YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER 30, 2023, UNPAID VOLUNTEERS CONTRIBUTED MORE THAN 8,000 HOURS OF THEIR TIME IN DIRECT SUPPORT OF THE ORGANIZATION. VOLUNTEERS ASSISTED IN VARIOUS PROGRAM AREAS. BASED UPON THE HOURLY VOLUNTEER RATE OF APPROXIMATELY $31.80/HR. IN 2023 FOR THE STATE OF FLORIDA PER THE BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS, THE DOLLAR VALUE OF THOSE VOLUNTEER HOURS WAS APPROXIMATELY $266,800. A TOTAL OF 21,995 HOURS OF VOLUNTEER SERVICES VALUED AT $699,400 WERE PROVIDED IN TOTAL TO THE AGENCY AND ITS RELATED PARTIES.
