ROTARY DISTRICT & GLOBAL GRANTS - ROTARY INTERNATIONAL RETURNS A PORTION OF FUNDS SENT TO THE ROTARY FOUNDATION FOR OUR DISTRICT TO USE FOR LOCAL CHARITABLE PROJECTS. THIS INCLUDES FOOD FOR THE NEEDY, LITERACY PROGRAMS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND COMMUNITY BEAUTIFICATION AND HEALTH CARE. STUDENT PROGRAMS - THE DISTRICT SUPPORTS FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS AND A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT LEADERSHIP FORUM.
THE DISTRICT CONDUCTS FORUMS, SEMINARS, ASSEMBLIES AND DISTRICT CONFERENCES TO TRAIN CLUB MEMBERS, ELECTED CLUB OFFICERS, AND DISTRICT OFFICERS IN THE PROPER PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DUTIES IN THEIR SPECIFIC OFFICES TO INCLUDE RUNNING THEIR CLUBS, COORDINATION OF LOCAL HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS, AND THE SUPPORT OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL AND THE ROTARY FOUNDATION IN THEIR WORLD WIDE PROJECTS.
THE DISTRICT REIMBURSES THE DISTRICT GOVERNOR, DISTRICT GOVERNOR-ELECT, AND THE DISTRICT GOVERNOR-NOMINEE FOR ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES INCURRED TO PERFORM THEIR DUTIES IN MANAGING THE DISTRICT. THESE EXPENSES INCLUDE TRAVEL TO REQUIRED ROTARY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES AND ZONE MEETINGS, TRAVEL TO EACH CLUB IN THE DISTRICT, AND OFFICE SUPPLY EXPENSES.
