AGENCY PROVIDES ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE COUNTIES IN ITS SERVICE TERRITORY. FUNDING IS PROVIDED BY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES FOR VARIOUS ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS PROVIDING A ONE TIME ANNUAL HEATING AND COOLING ASSISTANCE PAYMENT FOR ELIGIBLE LOW-INCOME FAMILIES.


AGENCY PROVIDES COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE COUNTIES IN ITS SERVICE TERRITORY. FUNDING IS PROVIDED BY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES FOR THE COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT PROVIDING VARIOUS COMMUNITY RELATED SERVICES TO ELIGIBLE RESIDENTS.


AGENCY PROVIDES RURAL TRANSPORTATION PROGRAMS TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE COUNTIES IN ITS SERVICE TERRITORY. FUNDING IS PROVIDED BY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR SECTION 5311 TRANSPORTATION PROGRAMS AWARDED TO VARIOUS COUNTY GOVERNMENTS IN THE AGENCY'S SERVICE TERRITORY. THE AGENCY IS THE THIRD PARTY OPERATOR FOR FOUR COUNTY GOVERNMENTS PROVIDING FARE-BASED DEMAND RESPONSE RURAL PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO ANY RESIDENT OF THE COUNTY.


AGENCY PROVIDES EMERGENCY FOOD AND SHELTER PROGRAM TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE NINE COUNTIES IN ITS SERVICE TERRITORY. FUNDING IS PROVIDED BY UNITED WAY AND CHURCHES. EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE TAKES ON MANY FORMS DEPENDING ON THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM. IN MOST CASES, IT INVOLVES THE NEED FOR FOOD, CLOTHING, PRESCRIPTIONS, SHELTER ASSISTANCE.
