THE CORNEA SOCIETY IS AN INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY DEDICATED TO PROMOTING THE EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION IN CORNEA AND EXTERNAL DISEASE.

THE SOCIETY IS A MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION OF APPROXIMATELY 600 MEMBERS WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE THE KNOWLEDGE, RESEARCH, AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE OPHTHALMOLOGIC SUBSPECIALTY DEALING WITH CORNEA, EXTERNAL DISEASE, REFRACTIVE SURGERY, AND THE ANTERIOR SEGMENT OF THE EYE AND TO PROMOTE THE PROFESSION OF OPHTHALMOLOGY. TO ACHIEVE ITS MISSION, THE SOCIETY PRODUCES A SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL (CORNEA: THE JOURNAL OF CORNEA AND EXTERNAL DISEASE) EACH MONTH, AS WELL AS THE QUARTERLY CORNEA SOCIETY NEWS. IN ADDITION, THE SOCIETY HOLDS REGULAR EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS, PROVIDES VIDEO EDUCATION, FACILITATES KERA-NET (A WORLDWIDE INTERACTIVE FORUM WHERE SUBSCRIBERS CAN EXCHANGE CLINICAL INFORMATION), AND PROVIDES VARIOUS NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ITS MEMBERS.
