CONCERT PERFORMANCES:FOR MORE THAN 55 YEARS, THE FLORIDA ORCHESTRA (TFO) HAS SERVED THE TAMPA BAY AREA AND BEYOND. TFO IS FLORIDA'S LARGEST PROFESSIONAL ORCHESTRA AND THE LARGEST PERFORMING ARTS ORGANIZATION THAT BRIDGES THE BAY. A TYPICAL TFO CONCERT SEASON ENCOMPASSES THE FULL BREADTH OF SYMPHONIC REPERTOIRE WITH MORE THAN 100 CONCERTS, IN ADDITION TO EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS, THAT REACH A TOTAL OF 150,000 PEOPLE, UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF MUSIC DIRECTOR MICHAEL FRANCIS. IN ADDITION TO STANDARD ORCHESTRAL WORKS, TFO PLAYS MUSIC FROM ROCK, POP, AND BROADWAY, AND COLLABORATES IN PRODUCTIONS WITH LOCAL THEATER, CHORAL AND OPERA COMPANIES. THE CONCERTS CENTER AROUND AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT, SHARED MUSIC ENRICHMENT AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR FAMILIES. - POPS IN THE PARK CONCERTS: OUR BIGGEST CONCERTS OF THE YEAR SERVE A TOTAL OF ABOUT 30,000 RESIDENTS THROUGHOUT TAMPA BAY. THESE THREE, FULL-ORCHESTRA CONCERTS ARE FREE AND ACCESSIBLE TO ALL ESPECIALLY FAMILIES -- IN PUBLIC PARKS IN HILLSBOROUGH AND PINELLAS COUNTIES. PRE-CONCERT SHOWS PROVIDE A PLATFORM FOR COMMUNITY MUSICAL ORGANIZATIONS TO PERFORM FOR LARGE AUDIENCES.-INSTRUMENT PETTING ZOO: OFFERS OPPORTUNITY FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS OF ALL AGES AND EXPERIENCE LEVELS TO TRY OUT AND PLAY INSTRUMENTS.
