SOAPS NETWORKS WITH ANIMAL RESCUE GROUPS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY TO ADOPT ABANDONDED DOGS AND CATS FROM TOOMBS AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES. SOAPS VETS AND TRANSPORTS PETS UNWANTED IN OUR AREA TO MAJOR RESCUE GROUPS LIKE "LOVE OF LABS" IN CONNECTTICUT, "LAB FRIENDS OF THE SOUTH" IN ATLANTA, GA, "BAD ASS ANIMAL RESCUE OF BROOKLYN" IN NEW YORK, "K-9 LIFE SAVERS" IN WASHINGTON, DC, "ADIRONDACK SAV-A-STRAY" IN NEW YORK, "HOME FOR GOOD DOGS" IN NEW JERSEY, AND "NATE'S HONOR RESCUE" IN BRADENTON, FLORIDA. IN 2021 SOAPS ARRANGED THE RESCUE OF OVER 1800 UNWANTED PETS TO THESE GROUPS.
REDUCED COST STERILIZATION PROGRAM - INDIVIDUALS WITH FINANCIAL NEEDS CAN APPLY TO HAVE THEIR PET STERILIZED THROUGH THE SOAPS LOW COST PROGRAM. THE ALTAMAHA ANIMAL CLINIC, THE VIDALIA VETERINARY CENTER, KILGORE ANIMAL HOSPITAL AND OTHER VETERINARIANS IN OUR AREA ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN THIS ON GOING PROGRAM.
SOAPS PROVIDES NEW PENS, NEW KENNELS, NEW DOG HOUSES, FOOD, CLEANING SUPPLIES, VETERINARY CARE AND COMPUTER EQUIPMENT FOR THE ANIMAL CONTROL SHELTERS IN OUR SERVICE AREA AS NEEDED.
