HOMESTRETCH SUPPORTS AND GUIDES WORKING, HOMELESS FAMILIES TOWARD STABILITY IN FINANCES, EMPLOYMENT, HOUSING AND FAMILY-LIFE. THEIR GOAL IS THAT EACH GRADUATING FAMILY MOVES INTO PERMANENT, SUSTAINABLE HOUSING WITH IMPROVED EMPLOYMENT, REDUCED DEBT AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE TO PREVENT FUTURE HOMELESSNESS. HOMESTRETCH OFFERS HOMELESS PARENTS AND THEIR CHILDREN A SAFE PLACE TO LIVE WHILE HELPING THEM ADDRESS THE ROOT CAUSES OF THEIR SITUATION AND RETURN TO A LIFE OF SELF-RELIANCE AND STABILITY. THROUGH THE WORK OF DEDICATED STAFF, VOLUNTEER MENTOR TEAMS, JOB COACHING AND LIFESKILLS WORKSHOPS, FAMILIES ARE ARMED WITH IMPORTANT TOOLS THEY NEED TO SUCCEED.

HOMESTRETCH, INC. IS TRANSITIONED TO A CASE MANAGEMENT MODEL THAT INCLUDES COACHING, A BRIDGE TOOL, SMART GOAL SETTING, CLIENT RECOGNITION AND 90-DAY RECERTIFICATIONS TO ENSURE OUR CLIENTS TRANSITION FROM OUR PROGRAM WITH THE ABILITY TO ACQUIRE AND SUSTAIN HOUSING. WORKING UNDER THE FIVE PILLARS OF FAMILY STABILITY, WELL-BEING, FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, EDUCATION/TRAINING AND CAREER AND EMPLOYMENT WE ENSURE OUR FAMILIES HAVE THE MARKETABLE SKILL SETS NECESSARY TO EARN A LIVING WAGE. WHAT'S MORE, WE WORK WITH FAMILIES TO ENSURE THAT DURING THEIR TWO-YEAR TENURE THEY ARE PAYING DOWN DEBT, INCREASING THEIR CREDIT SCORE AND SAVING AT LEAST 3 MONTHS OF LIVING EXPENSES. SIMULTANEOUSLY WE WORK WITH OUR YOUTH TO ENSURE THEY ARE PERFORMING AT OR ABOVE GRADE LEVEL, THAT WE ARE ADDRESSING BEHAVIOR ISSUES BY INCORPORATING SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING IN OUR EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS. OUR HOLISTIC NEW MODEL ADDRESSES THE WHOLE FAMILY BY MEETING EACH INDIVIDUAL WHERE THEY ARE. TO HIGHLIGHT A FEW OF OUR ORGANIZATIONAL AND CLIENT GRADUATE ACCOMPLISHMENTS, PLEASE SEE THE BELOW:- SIX FAMILIES SUCCESSFULLY GRADUATED OUR 2-YEAR SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAM AND 2 QUALIFIED FOR HOMEOWNERSHIP.- 100% OF THE GRADUATE FAMILIES INCREASED THEIR WAGES, CREDIT SCORE AND PAID DOWN DEBT DURING THE PROGRAM.- 100% OF THE GRADUATE FAMILIES SAVED MORE THAN TWO MONTHS OF LIVING EXPENSES.- THE CHILDREN IN OUR PROGRAM ENGAGED IN ROBOTIC LEARNING (EXTENDED), PARTICIPATED IN MOVEMENT ACTIVITIES SUCH AS BASKETBALL, PARTICIPATED IN CULTURAL STUDIES AND OUTDOOR ADVENTURES AND PARTICIPATED IN COMMUNITY BEAUTIFICATION AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS.
