THE CORPORATION IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZED TO ESTABLISH A POOL OF VOLUNTEERS AND RESOURCES TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE TO THE RESIDENTS OF WAYNE COUNTY; TO ESTABLISH AND COORDINATE AN EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION AND REFERRALS AMONG THE SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS SO THAT THE GREATEST NUMBER OF NEEDS ARE MET IN AS EFFICIENT AND FAIR MANNER AS POSSIBLE; AND, TO IDENTIFY THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY AND TO ADVOCATE PROGRAMS TO MEET THOSE NEEDS. THE OBJECT AND PURPOSE SHALL BE EXCLUSIVELY OF A BENEVOLENT CHARACTER AND NOT FOR PECUNIARY GAIN OR PROFIT.
