THE CHAMBER ACTIVELY SEEKS TO PROMOTE THE COMMUNITY TO INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES WISHING TO LOCATE IN EATONTON AND PUTNAM COUNTY. IT PROMOTES THE ECONOMIC WELFARE AND GROWTH OF ITS MEMBER BUSINESSES.

OTHER EXPENDITURES THAT FURTHER THE EXEMPT PURPOSE.
THE CHAMBER HOSTS VARIOUS SPECIAL EVENTS IN ORDER TO BRING IN NEEDED FUNDS AND TO ATTRACT PEOPLE TO THE AREA. SUCH EVENTS INCLUDE A LEADERSHIP CLASS, A FOOD TASTING EVENT, AND THE CHAMBERS ANNUAL DINNER WHERE LOCAL BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS ARE RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO THE COMMUNITY.
SPECIAL EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON TOURISM BECAUSE OF THE ECONOMIC BENEFIT IT PROVIDES BY DESIGNATING A MANAGER WHOSE DUTIES ARE SOLELY TO ENCOURAGE TOURISM IN THE AREA. A WELCOME CENTER IS STAFFED WITH THESE FUNDS.
