HOBCAW YACHT CLUB IS A COMMUNITY BASED SOCIAL CLUB.

Part 3 - Line 4a
THE SAILING PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO TEACH CHILDREN, TEENAGERS, AND ADULTS TO SAIL SAFELY. THE CLUB OFFERS 2 WEEK SAILING CAMPS FOR CHILDREN IN THE SUMMER TAUGHT BY PAID INSTRUCTORS. THE PROGRAM UTILIZES BOATS OWNED AND MAINTAINED BY THE CLUB. THE CLUB ALSO HOSTS A SAILING REGATTA EACH SUMMER.
OTHER CLUB EXPENSES ARE THE MAINTENANCE OF THE DOCKS AND BOAT LANDING, SALE OF CLUB MERCHANDISE, AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS.
THE POOL IS USED FOR THE SWIM TEAM, SWIMMING LESSONS, AS WELL AS FOR MEMBERS' ENTERTAINMENT. APPROXIMATELY 250 CHILDREN PARTICIPATE IN THE CLUB'S SWIM TEAM. THE CLUB IS OPEN TO MEMBERS ALL SUMMER.
EVENT ACTIVITIES ARE FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT OF THE MEMBERS AND THEIR CHILDREN. THESE INCLUDE PARTIES, CHILDREN'S EVENTS, AND A FISHING TOURNAMENT.
