ANNUAL CONVENTION PROVIDES CONTINUING EDUCATION AND INFORMATION EXCHANGES FOR MEMBERS. ANNUAL TORTS SEMINAR CONVEYS NEW METHODS OF PRESENTING CASES AND NEW THEORIES OF LIABILITY.
THE "SC TRIAL LAWYER" PUBLICATION CONTAINS ARTICLES OF PRACTICAL BENEFIT TO INSURE PLAINTIFF ADJUDICATION OF DISPUTES.
SCAJ PROVIDES A WIDE ARRAY OF MEMBER SERVICES TO ITS DIVERSE MEMBERSHIP INCLUDING: ASSOCIATION OFFICERS, STAFF AND CONTRACT PERSONNEL MEET WITH MEMBERS IN SEVERAL AREAS OF THE STATE ANNUALLY FOR MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS; THE AMICUS CURIAE COMMITTEE FILES BRIEFS WITH THE APPELLATE COURT REGARDING CASES OF MERIT IN AREAS OF INTEREST TO THE TRIAL BAR; THE SCAJ COORDINATES A DAY-TO-DAY LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY PROGRAM WITH MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA GENERAL ASSEMBLY BY UTILIZING THE TALENTS OF MEMBERS AND PROFESSIONAL ON-STAFF AND CONTRACT LOBBYISTS.
