WORK BEGAN ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF A GIRLS HOSTEL FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED STUDENTS FROM REMOTE AREAS OF PAKISTAN AT A WOMENS UNIVERSITY IN PESHAWAR IN NOVEMBER, 2020. THE FACILITY WILL HOUSE 100 STUDENTS.
INSPITE OF THE PANDEMICS WORLDWIDE EFFECTS ON BUSINESSES, THE HASSAN FOUNDATION WAS ABLE TO INSTALL 617 WATER PROJECTS IN 2020. EACH PUMP PROVIDES WATER TO APPROXIMATELY 250 INDIVIDUALS ON A DAILY BASIS.
PEOPLE EVERYWHERE WERE AFFECTED BY COVID-19, MAKING LIFE DIFFICULT FOR THE UNDERPRIVILEGED, ESPECIALLY THE DAILY WAGE EARNERS AND LABORERS. THE FOUNDATION ARRANGED FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF 7,050 PACKAGES OF FOOD CONSISTING OF A MONTHS SUPPLY OF FLOUR, LENTILS AND COOKING OIL FOR FAMILIES IN KP AND SINDH (FOR A FAMILY OF 5). 70,000 MEALS WERE PROVIDED TO COVID PATIENTS BETWEEN APRIL 26 AND AUGUST 15, 2020 WHEN HAYATABAD MEDICAL COMPLEX, A GOVERNMENT RUN FACILITY IN PESHAWAR APPROACHED HASSAN FOUNDATION BECAUSE THEY HAD RUN OUT OF FUNDS AND COULD NOT AFFORD TO GIVE FOOD TO THEIR COVID PATIENTS.
CONTINUED TO SUPPORT ABOUT 400 ORPHANS. CONTINUED TO PROVIDE COMPUTER EDUCATION. PROVIDED CURRICULUM FOR 30 ORPHANS TO GET THEM READY FOR SCHOOL. FOOD PROVIDED FOR FOOD INSECURE PEOPLE IN SEATTLE WA DURING COVID PANDEMIC. QURBANI MEAT DISTRIBUTION FOR DESERVING PEOPLE. FOOD DISTRIBUTION DURING RAMADAN.
