WATER FOR GOOD'S MISSION IS TO TRANSFORM LIVES THROUGH SUSTAINABLE ACCESS TO SAFE WATER, IMPROVED SANITATION AND HYGIENE IN THE PLACES THAT NEED IT MOST.

WATER ACCESS: WFG COMPLETED 124 NEW WATER POINTS IN 2023 WHICH MEANS 49,200 PEOPLE RECEIVED SAFE WATER FOR THE FIRST TIME. THIS INCLUDED 15 SOLAR-POWERED PUMP SYSTEMS, 86 TAPSTANDS, AND 38 HANDPUMPS. A NEW PAT DRILL RIG WAS PROCURED AND WILL BE PLACED INTO SERVICE IN 2024.
RADIO: WFG BROADCASTS ON A SHORTWAVE FREQUENCY WHICH IS HEARD OVER THE WESTERN PART OF CAR. PROGRAMING IS FOCUSED ON REINFORCING THE HYGIENE MESSAGE, GENERAL COMMUNITY ADVANCEMENT, AND INTERVIEWS. IN 2023, THERE WERE OVER 3,860 HOURS OF WATER FOR GOOD AIRTIME.
MAINTENANCE: WFG TARGETS A VISIT TO EACH PUMP IN THE PROGRAM TWICE PER YEAR AND PERFORMS REGULAR MAINTENANCE TO ENSURE CONSTANT UPTIME. IN 2023, 3,628 MAINTENANCE VISITS WERE COMPLETED IN 2023 WITH 92% OF WATER PUMPS IN THE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM HAVING A FUNCTIONAL STATUS AFTER THE VISIT.
ADVOCACY: WFG WILL INFLUENCE EXTERNAL SUPPORT AND IMPLEMENTING ORGANIZATIONS TO TAKE ACTION IN LINE WITH THE COMMON PRINCIPLES AND FOCUS ON SYSTEMATIC APPROACHES TO UNIVERSAL ACCESS TO SUSTAINABLE WASH SERVICE DELIVERY, AND PROVIDE OVERALL DIRECTION AND COORDINATION IN CAR.
