THE VISION OF WATER FOR GOOD IS TO REDUCE THE TREND OF PERSISTENT POVERTY IN CENTRAL AFRICA THROUGH COLLABORATIVE EFFORT AT THE COMMUNITY LEVEL BY EQUIPPING AND EMPOWERING PEOPLE TO CREATE SUSTAINABLE TRANSFORMATIONAL SOLUTIONS.

WASH CLEAN WATER SANITATION HYGIENE: WFGS CENTRAL AFRICAN ASSETS INFRASTRUCTURE AND STRATEGIC PLANNING UNIQUELY ESTABLISH IT AS A KEY IMPLEMENTER OF DEEP WELL WATER DRILLING IN THE CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC CAR. TWO FULLY OPERATIONAL "DOWN-HAMMER DRILLING" RIGS ALL THE NECESSARY SUPPORTING EQUIPMENT AND STAFF TOGETHER WITH A SOPHISTICATED SUPPORT SERVICES INFRASTRUCTURE. WFG IS WELL PLACED TO ADDRESS THE WASH NEEDS THAT EXIST IN CENTRAL AFRICA ESPECIALLY IN THE CAR. 60 NEW SITES WERE CREATED IN 2021; 32 MANUAL PUMPS AND 28 WATER KIOSK ON 6 WATER SYSTEMS
THE GOAL IS TO VISIT EACH PUMP IN THE PROGRAM AT LEAST TWO TIMES DURING THE YEAR AND PERFORM REGULAR MAINTENANCE TO ENSURE A CONSTANT UPTIME. 1,896 PUMPS WERE REACHED DURING 2,754 VISITS IN 2020. 93% OF WATER PUMPS IN THE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM HAD A FUNCTIONAL STATUS AFTER A VISIT.
WFG WILL INFLUENCE EXTERNAL SUPPORT AND IMPLEMENTING ORGANISATIONS TO TAKE ACTION IN LINE WITH THE COMMON PRINCIPLES AND FOCUS ON SYSTEMATIC APPROACHES TO UNIVERSAL ACCESS TO SUSTAINABLE WASH SERVICE DELIVERY AND PROVIDE OVERALL DIRECTION AND COORDINATION IN CAR.
