WORLD T.E.A.M. BRINGS ADAPTIVE AND ABLE-BODIED ATHLETES TOGETHER BY EMPOWERING, ENABLING AND ENGAGING INDIVIDUALS THROUGH INCLUSIVE ATHLETIC EVENTS. WE BELIEVE THE EXCEPTIONAL ATHLETE MATTERS.

FACE OF AMERICA: GETTYSBURGEACH YEAR WORLD T.E.A.M. ORGANIZES THIS TWO-DAY 106-MILE BIKE RIDE FROM THE PENTAGON TO THE BATTLEFIELDS OF GETTYSBURG, PA. THE FACE OF AMERICA PROGRAM IS FOCUSED ON OUR INJURED VETERAN POPULATION, WITH MANY OF THE PARTICIPANTS STILL UNDERGOING SOME FORM OF REHABILITATION IN VARIOUS HOSPITALS AROUND THE COUNTRY. AS WITH ALL OUR PROGRAMS, PARTICIPANTS WITH INJURIES AND DISABILITIES ARE PAIRED WITH ABLE-BODIED RIDERS TO WORK TOGETHER AND NAVIGATE THE HILLY AND CHALLENGING TERRAIN THAT EXISTS BETWEEN VIRGINIA, WASHINGTON DC, MARYLAND AND PENNSYLVANIA.


FACE OF AMERICA LIBERTYTHIS ONE-DAY, 56-MILE CYCLING CHALLENGE BRINGS BOTH ADAPTIVE AND ABLE-BODIED ATHLETES FROM SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY TO THE HISTORIC UNITED STATES MILITARY ACADEMY AT WEST POINT. RIDERS CYCLE ALONG THE EASTERN BANK OF THE HUDSON RIVER, OVER THE BEAR MOUNTAIN BRIDGE, AND NORTH TO WEST POINT. THE RIDE HONORS OUR NATIONS FINEST, BOTH VETERANS AND ACTIVE DUTY.


ZWIFT WEEKLY RIDE SERIESWORLD T.E.A.M. HOSTS WEEKLY VIRTUAL CYCLING RIDES USING THE PROGRAM ZWIFT AND CONNECTING FOR VIDEO ON ZOOM. IN THE BEGINNING OF 2021 WITH LARGE LIVE EVENTS NOT OCCURRING, THESE WEEKLY RIDES (UP TO 3 TIMES A WEEK) ALLOWED THE MISSION OF WORLD T.E.A.M. TO CONTINUE WITH EMPOWERING ADAPTIVE AND ABLE-BODIED ATHLETES THROUGH A UNIQUE INCLUSIVE VIRTUAL PROGRAM FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.
