THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO ENRICH THE COMMUNITY THROUGH AN INDEPENDENT, INNOVATIVE, REGIONAL BALLET COMPANY THAT PROVIDES DANCERS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM IN PROFESSIONAL-LEVEL PRODUCTIONS. BY MERGING YOUTH AND PROFESSIONALS, THE ORGANIZATION INTRODUCES BALLET TO DIVERSE AUDIENCES TO FOSTER LIFE-LONG SUPPORT OF THE ARTS. EACH YEAR THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FREE WEEKLY BALLET CLASSES FOR SELECT STUDENTS AT A HIGH-POVERTY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN CHARLOTTE. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES APPROXIMATELY 2,000 BELOW COST TICKETS TO STUDENTS AND SENIORS. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION ACCEPTS CHARITABLE DONATIONS AND PROVIDES TICKETS TO APPROXIMATELY 1,000 STUDENTS FROM HIGH POVERTY ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS PER YEAR.
