THE MISSION OF THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA IS TO PREPARE YOUNG PEOPLE TO MAKE ETHICAL DECISIONS OVER THIR LIFETIMES BY INSTILLING IN THEM THE VALUES OF THE SCOUT OATH AND LAW. THE BSA POSITIVELY IMPACTS YOUTH AND FAMILIES BY PROMOTING EDUCATIONAL, RECREATIONAL, CAREER AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS OF SCOUTING IN ADDITION TO IMPACTING SCHOLASTIC SUCCESS, RISK BEHAVIORS AND SELF SUFFICIENCY.
