TO NURTURE AND EMPOWER CHILDREN IN NC THROUGH OUR RESIDENTIAL, FOSTER CARE, AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS. PROVIDES RESIDENTIAL AND FAMILY FOSTER CARE FOR CHILDREN WHO HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM HOMES DUE TO ABUSE AND NEGLECT AND ARE UNDER THE CARE AND SUPERVISION OF DEPARTMENTS OF SOCIAL SERVICES.

RESIDENTIAL CARE: CARE FOR CHILDREN WHO HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM HOMES BY COUNTY DEPARTMENTS OF SOCIAL SERVICES DUE TO ABUSE AND/OR NEGLECT AND ARE IN NEED OF EMERGENCY, SHORT TERM OR LONG TERM CARE. AMERICAN CHILDREN'S HOME PROVIDED CARE FOR MORE THAN 71 CHILDREN FROM 18 NORTH CAROLINA COUNTIES DURING THE YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER 30, 2022, RESULTING IN 9,910 TOTAL RESIDENTIAL DAYS OF CARE FOR THE YEAR.


FOSTER FAMILY CARE: CARE OF CHILDREN PLACED BY SOCIAL SERVICES AGENCIES WHOSE CIRCUMSTANCES ARE BEST SERVED IN LICENSED FAMILY FOSTER HOMES RATHER THAN IN A RESIDENTIAL HOME SETTING.
