JACKSON-FEILD HOMES IS A RESIDENTIAL BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ORGANIZATION SERVING CHILDREN AGES 11-18 YEARS WHO SUFFER FROM SEVERE MENTAL HEALTH AND/OR SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS. WE UTILIZE A TRAUMA-FOCUSED TREATMENT MODEL THAT USES CUTTING-EDGE, EVIDENCE-BASED TREATMENT INTERVENTIONS. FOUNDED IN 1855, WE SERVE MORE THAN 110 CHILDREN ANNUALLY. IN ADDITION TO PSYCHIATRIC TREATMENT SERVICES WE PROVIDE RESIDENTIAL AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES. WE EDUCATE OUR CHILDREN TO HELP THEM UNDERSTAND THEIR DISORDERS, HOW IT IMPACTS THEM AND HOW TO MANAGE THEM SO THAT THEY CAN LIVE HEALTHY AND PRODUCTIVE LIVES.

FUNDS ARE USED TO PROVIDE PSYCHIATRIC TREATMENT SERVICES AND SUPPORT SERVICES. FOUNDED IN 1855, JFBHS IS ONE OF THE NATION'S OLDEST CONTINUOUSLY-OPERATING NONPROFIT RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN. MANY OF OUR CHILDREN HAVE EXPERIENCED SEVERE PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAUMA DUE TO PHYSICAL/SEXUAL ABUSE AND NEGLECT, AND OFTEN EXHIBIT HARMFUL AND DESTRUCTIVE SYMPTOMS AND BEHAVIORS THAT IMPAIR THEIR ABILITY TO FUNCTION IN THE COMMUNITY. PROVIDING PROPER CLINICAL CARE FOR ADOLESCENTS IS CRITICAL FOR THEIR LONG-TERM WELL-BEING. WE OFFER A MULTI-DIMENSIONAL ARRAY OF CLINICIAL INTERVENTIONS, AND ARE ABLE TO TAILOR TREATMENT PLANS TO OBTAIN THE BEST RESULTS FOR EACH CHILD. WHATEVER THE ORIGIN OR INTENSITY OF THE DISORDERS, THE RESIDENTIAL MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES PROVIDED TO CHILDREN AT JFBHS PROMOTES HEALING AND WELLNESS. WE EMPLOY A VARIETY OF EVIDENCE-BASED THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTIONS INCLUDING COGNITIVE BEHAVIOR THERAPY, NEUROPATHY, SYSTEMS TRAINING FOR EMOTIONAL PREDICITABILTY AND PROBLEM SOLVING, AND EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION AND REPROCESSING, BOARD, COUNSELING, EDUCATION AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE YOUNG WOMEN AND MEN RESIDING AT THE CENTER'S FACILITIES. AN AVERAGE OF 40.62 RESIDENTS WERE SERVED ON A DAILY BASIS.
