RESIDENTIAL - COMMUNITY LIVING'S LARGEST AND OLDEST SERVICE IS RESIDENTIAL SERVICES, WHICH IS HOUSING PROVIDED IN "GROUP HOMES" TYPICALLY CONSISTING OF THREE RESIDENTS LIVING TOGETHER IN A HOME WITH STAFF ON DUTY 24 HOURS A DAY 365 DAYS A YEAR. RESIDENTS EACH HAVE THEIR OWN BEDROOM AND PARTICIPATE IN THE MAINTENANCE OF THEIR HOME TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY. WELL TRAINED STAFF PROVIDE ASSISTANCE AS NEEDED WITH PERSONAL CARE, GROCERY SHOPPING AND COOKING, COMPLETING MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS, HOUSEKEEPING AND EVERYTHING ELSE TO MAKE EACH PERSON FEEL AT HOME. CLI STRIVES TO MATCH PEOPLE OF SIMILAR SKILLS AND INTEREST TO MAXIMIZE THE POTENTIAL OF EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE.
VOCATIONAL AND DAY SERVICES - MOST RECENTLY, COMMUNITY LIVING BEGAN PROVIDING VOCATIONAL SERVICES TO PEOPLE WHO WISH TO WORK. WE HAVE DEVELOPED A PROGRAM THAT STRIVES TO FIND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE SERVED, PREFERABLY IN INTEGRATED COMMUNITY SETTINGS BUT ALSO THROUGH IN HOUSE CONTRACTS SUCH AS LAUNDRY SERVICES AND SERVICES FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES. WHEN PEOPLE ARE NOT WORKING, CLI MAINTAINS A PHILOSOPHY OF ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT, PROVIDING ACTIVITIES THAT BUILD A VARIETY OF WORK SKILLS AND USING MULTIPLE VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES WE ALSO OPERATE A SENIOR DAY PROGRAM FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO NO LONGER WISH TO WORK AND WANT TO MAINTAIN A MORE LEISURELY PACE DURING THE DAY.
PERSONAL SUPPORTS - THIS IS A SERVICE THAT PROVIDES SUPPORT TO PEOPLE LIVING ON THIER OWN OR WITH FAMILY AS OPPOSED TO LIVING IN A GROUP SITUATION WITH FULL TIME STAFF. THIS SERVICE HAS GROWN SIGNIFICANTLY IN THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS AS MORE PEOPLE WANT INCREASINGLY FLEXIBLE SUPPORTS STAFF IN THIS PROGRAM TO ASSIST PEOPLE WITH WHATEVER IS MOST IMPORTANT TO THEM FROM MAINTAINING THEIR HOME, TO MEDICAL NEEDS TO RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES.
