CURRY PUBLIC TRANSIT INC PROVIDES SAFE, COURTEOUS, AFFORDABLE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO OLDER ADULTS, PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC ALONG THE SOUTHERN OREGON COASTAL CORRIDOR AND WITHIN LARGER CURRY COUNTY TOWNS.

TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM. CPTI RUNS A FIXED ROUTE ON HWY 101 ALONG THE OREGON COAST. IT COVERS 129 MILES BETWEEN SMITH RIVER CA AND COOS BAY/NORTH BEND OR. IT IS OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. IT RUNS 5 DAYS A WEEK, 3 ROUND TRIPS A DAY. WE PROVIDED 8,463 RIDES DURING 6,342 HOURS OF SERVICE AND 188,653 MILES.
TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM. ONLY PROVIDER OF DEMAND SERVICE AND DIAL A RIDE IN CURRY COUNTY OR (POP. 23,185 (EST). OPERATES IN THE TWO LARGEST TOWNS AND SURROUNDING UNINCORPORATED AREAS, BROOKINGS (EST POP. 13,600), 5 DAYS A WEEK AND GOLD BEACH (EST POP. 3,500), 4 DAYS A WEEK. TOTAL DAR RIDES WERE 12,064 DURING 3,747 HOURS OF SERVICE AND COVERED 40,425 MILES.
TRANSPORTATION PROGRAMS. CPTI'S MISSION SPECIFIES ADDITIONAL SERVICE TO OLDER ADULTS AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES. THEY TRAVEL AT HALF FARE. ALL BUSES HAVE WHEELCHAIR LIFTS. CPTI PROVIDED 15,901 RIDES TO OLDER AMERICANS AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. LIMITED MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION IS AVAILABLE. 83 MEDICAL RIDES WERE PROVIDED TRAVELING 1,457 MILES DURING 218 HOURS. CPTI ALSO PROVIDES PASSES TO VARIOUS COMMUNITY AGENCIES FOR THEIR CLIENTS, AND PARTICIPATES IN COMMUNITY EVENTS AS REQUESTED. PART OF THE REVENUE IS INCLUDED IN ACCOMPLISHMENT 2.
