FISCAL YEAR 2023 WAS A PRODUCTIVE YEAR FOR CAROLINE HABITAT. WE SIGNED AND STARTED OUR SECOND USDA 523 MUTUAL SELF-HELP GRANT FOR 12 SELF-HELP HOMES TO BE DELIVERED OVER THE NEXT 24 MONTHS. IN ADDITION, WE SIGNED AND EXECUTED A LOCAL PLANNING DISTRICT GRANT FOR 1.8 MILLION DOLLARS. THIS GRANT HAS ALLOWED US TO PARTNER WITH A FOR PROFIT DEVELOPER TO CREATE A MIXED INCOME NEIGHBORHOOD IN WHICH WE WILL DELIVER 20 AFFORDABLE HOMES.
