THE MISSION IS CARRIED OUT BY: PROMOTING AND REPRESENTING THE INTERESTS OF STATE EMPLOYEES, SERVING AS AN INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SOURCE FOR THE MEMBERSHIP, PROVIDING A FORUM FOR THE DISCUSSION OF IDEAS AND PROBLEMS, FACILITATING COMMUNICATION AMONG STATE EMPLOYEES, AND SERVING AS ADVISORS TO ADMINISTRATORS OF AGENCIES IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA WHEN APPROPRIATE.
