RURAL ELECTRIFICATION DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM PROVIDE VARIOUS TYPES OF RURAL ELECTRIFICATION TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO GOVERNMENTS, AGENCIES, COMMUNITIES AND PRIVATE ENTITIES LOCATED IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. DURING 2021, NRECA INTERNATIONAL PROVIDED VARIOUS TYPES OF ENGINEERING TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND ASSISTED WITH RURAL ELECTRIFICATION DEVELOPMENT IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: ANGOLA, BANGLADESH, BOLIVIA, COLOMBIA, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO, COTE D'IVOIRE, ETHIOPIA, GHANA, GUATEMALA, GUINEA, HAITI, KENYA, LIBERIA, MOZAMBIQUE, NAMIBIA, NIGERIA, PAPUA NEW GUINEA, PHILIPPINES, SIERRA LEONE, UGANDA, ZAMBIA, AND ZIMBABWE.
OVERSEAS ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM - THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE U.S. ELECTRIC COOPERATIVES WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO VOLUNTEER AND SPONSOR RURAL ELECTRIFICATION PROJECTS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. THESE PROJECTS ARE USUALLY SPONSORED BY ONE OR MORE U.S. COOPERATIVES WHO PROVIDE BOTH THE FUNDING AND VOLUNTEERS WHO ELECTRIFY SMALL RURAL VILLAGES PRIMARILY IN CENTRAL AND SOUTH AMERICA.
